Long tour from Tbilisi to the most interesting places of Georgia: Borjomi national Park, an ancient Rabati fortress and the Cave city Vardzia.
Itinerary: Tbilisi – Rabati – Vardzia – Borgomi – Tbilisi
- Transfer to Borjomi: walking in the national Park of Borjomi-Kharagauli, tasting the curative waters. This Park is one of the largest in Europe.
- Travel to a unique cave monastery complex of XII – XIII centuries, carved into the rocks – the Museum-reserve of Vardzia. Many think it’s just dug into the rock of the cave, but it’s not. This is a multistory complex of 8 floors with streets, tunnels and stairs leading to monasteries, temples, libraries, theaters, homes, etc. The complex includes more than 600 rooms connected by passages, and all of them are stretched along the mountains for more than 800 meters. 15 monks are still leaving in the monastery. It is a truly unique structure and the beauty of the place is stunning!
- A trip to the Rabat fortress (city-in the-city). Another unique place of a stunning beauty, its architecture has Turkish motifs: many years ago in the period of Turkish conquest the Akhaltsikhe was the capital of a province of the Ottoman Empire.
